Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the HTC Desire 310, lets you replace a damaged module, for example if the image is blurred, black or distorted, or if the camera no longer activates.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface in a well-lit place, and use an anti-static wrist strap or regularly touch an earthed metal surface to avoid electrostatic discharge. Never force the ribbon cables, which are fragile.
Once the camera is fitted, switch the phone back on and test it in the camera app, in video mode and during a call. Also check that the proximity sensor and the screen work correctly. If the battery is swollen, do not use it and do not try to puncture or bend it.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before any work
- Use a flat, non-metallic tool to release the ribbon cables
- Avoid static electricity: work on an anti-static surface
- Never puncture or bend a lithium battery
- Test the camera, video and proximity sensor after fitting
Fitting
Fitting guide: work with the device switched off, disconnect the battery before touching any flex cable, keep the screws in order and test the part before closing up. A question before ordering? Write to us.
