Description
This compatible front camera replaces the current part of your HTC Desire 626 when it no longer works properly. It is used for selfies, video calls and taking photos on the screen side. The most common faults are a blurry or black image, abnormal colours, or a camera that no longer starts in apps.
Before you begin, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with a suitable screwdriver and, if possible, an anti-static wrist strap to protect the components from static electricity. Note the order of the screws and the position of the ribbon cables to make reassembly easier. Never force the connectors and do not bend the ribbon cables.
After fitting, reconnect the battery, switch the phone back on and test the camera before closing the casing completely. Check the sharpness, brightness and operation in several apps. If the battery is swollen or damaged, do not use it and do not try to puncture or bend it.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before any work
- Use an anti-static wrist strap to protect the components
- Note the position of the screws and ribbon cables before dismantling
- Test the camera before closing the casing
- Do not puncture or bend the lithium battery
Fitting
Fitting guide: work with the device switched off, disconnect the battery before touching any flex cable, keep the screws in order and test the part before closing up. A question before ordering? Write to us.
