Description
The front camera is the small camera module above the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This compatible part replaces the current front camera of the Droid Maxx 2 (XT1565, 2015 model) when it is blurry, black, frozen or no longer responding.
This camera is a compatible part, made by a third party: it does not come from the phone manufacturer. It is offered as an affordable alternative to repair your device yourself. Before you begin, switch off the phone, disconnect the battery if your model allows it, and work on a clean, clear surface. A plastic pry tool and a suitable screwdriver make removal easier without scratching the chassis. Protect yourself from static electricity by touching an earthed metal object before handling the component.
After fitting, check that the ribbon cable is properly seated and that the phone starts. Open the camera app in selfie mode, then test video and focus. Never force the connectors and do not bend the ribbon cable. If the battery is swollen, stop using the phone and do not puncture or bend it.
