Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front module of your Droid Mini (XT1030, 2013 model). It is used for selfie photos and video calls. If your front camera is blurry, black or no longer activates, this replacement may solve the problem, provided the fault really comes from the module itself.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery where the procedure allows. Work on a clean surface, with a suitable screwdriver and protection against static electricity. Carefully remove the current part without forcing the ribbon cables, then fit the compatible camera, checking that the connector is properly clicked in.
After fitting, switch the phone back on and test the camera before fully closing the casing. Check sharpness, exposure and the operation of the camera app as well as video calls. If a battery is concerned, carry out a few full charge cycles so the device regains stable operation. A swollen battery must no longer be used.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before disassembling
- Protect your components against static electricity
- Do not force the ribbon cables when removing and refitting
- Test the camera before closing the casing
- A swollen or damaged battery must no longer be used
Fitting
Fitting guide: work with the device switched off, disconnect the battery before touching any flex cable, keep the screws in order and test the part before closing up. A question before ordering? Write to us.
