Description
This compatible premium front camera replaces the front module of your Edge smartphone (XT2405, 2024 model). It is used for selfies, video calls and unlocking the device if facial recognition is enabled. A faulty front camera can show up as a blurry, black, frozen or distorted image, or as a complete lack of response from the camera app.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, ideally with an anti-static mat, and use suitable tools so you do not scratch the frame or the screen. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery, and do not use a device whose battery is swollen.
After fitting, switch the device back on and test the camera before fully closing the housing: check the focus, brightness and display in the camera app and during a video call. If the image still looks abnormal, check the connectors and the position of the ribbon cable before drawing any conclusions.
