Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front photo module of your G4, the one used for selfies and video calls. When the front camera stops working, the shooting screen stays black, the image is blurred or frozen, or the camera app refuses to open on the front side. This module fixes these faults once the current part is removed and the new one is correctly installed.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and avoid touching the gold contacts with your fingers. Note the exact position of the screws and connectors. For disassembly, use a plastic tool so you do not scratch the chassis or damage the ribbon cables.
After reassembly, power on the device and test the camera before closing the casing for good. Check sharpness, focus and operation in video apps. If the battery was removed, let it charge normally, then carry out a few full charge and discharge cycles for stable operation.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before any work.
- Use a plastic tool to avoid scratching the chassis.
- Handle the ribbon cable carefully and avoid static electricity.
- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery.
- Test the camera before closing the casing.
