Description
The front camera is the small module at the top of the screen, on the front of the phone. It is used for video calls, selfies and video meetings. When it stops working, the image may be blurred, black or frozen, or the camera app no longer detects it. This G4 front camera is an original manufacturer part, or an official "Service Pack" part, which offers the same display and battery life as new.
Before fitting, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static mat or a discharge wristband to limit static electricity. Use suitable tools and do not force the connectors or ribbon cables. Handle the ribbon cable carefully, without bending or pulling it.
Once the part is installed, switch the device back on and test the camera before fully closing the casing. Check the image in the camera app, the video quality and the microphone during a test call. If the battery was removed, let it charge normally. A swollen or damaged battery must never be used.
