Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This compatible part is designed for the G5 model. It replaces a damaged, blurry, black or no longer switching-on front camera, and restores sharp images for your photos and video calls.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, to protect the components from static electricity. Use suitable tools, without forcing, and handle the ribbon cables with care, as they tear easily. Never pierce or bend the lithium battery, and do not use a device whose battery is swollen.
After fitting, switch the phone back on and check that the camera app opens, the image is sharp from both the front and back cameras, and the microphone and the screen around the camera work. If the battery was disconnected, let the device complete a few full charge cycles for good stability.
