Description
The front camera is the camera module located on the front of your device, on the screen side. It is used for selfies, video calls and face recognition when this module is supported by the phone. This compatible part is intended for the G6 model.
If your front camera is blurry, black, frozen or no longer appears in camera apps, the module may be the cause. A fall or moisture ingress can also damage the ribbon cable that connects it to the motherboard. Before you begin, switch off the device, disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it, and work on a clean surface with suitable tools. Avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface.
After fitting, switch the phone back on and test the camera before fully closing the casing. Check the focus, image brightness and the absence of noise or banding. Handle the ribbon cables with care, without bending them or forcing the connectors.
