Description
The front camera, also called the selfie camera, is the small module at the top of the screen that lets you take selfies and make video calls. This part, compatible with the Galaxy Core Prime, replaces the existing module when it stops working: blurred, black or distorted image, or a camera that no longer appears in the camera app.
Before fitting, switch off the phone and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface and use suitable tools to open the device without forcing it. Handle the ribbon cable with care, as it is fragile, and avoid static electricity by touching a metal part before you start.
Once the camera is fitted and the device is closed, switch the phone back on and test the camera before fully refitting the screen. Check the sharpness, the brightness and the correct operation of other functions, such as the screen flash or the microphone. If you notice dust or a reflection under the glass, reopen the device to clean it before finishing the reassembly.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before opening it.
- Do not bend the ribbon cable and avoid touching it with your fingers.
- A swollen battery must no longer be used.
- Test the camera before fully closing the device.
- Dust the area before fitting for a sharp image.
