Description
The front camera is the camera module located on the front of the smartphone, used for selfies, video calls and facial recognition unlocking. This part, compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, lets you replace the module when it is damaged, no longer switches on, or when the image appears blurred, black or distorted.
Before replacement, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery when the procedure requires it. Work on a clean, clear surface, with a small suitable screwdriver and a plastic tool to open the phone without scratching the chassis. Handle the new module by its edges, protected from static electricity, and avoid any contact with the gold contacts.
Once assembly is complete, switch the device back on and open the camera app to test the front camera, then check the proximity sensor and the screen lighting. If the battery is affected by the work, carry out a few full charge cycles to stabilise its operation. Never use a swollen battery, do not puncture it and do not bend it.
