Description
The front camera is the camera module located at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the Galaxy Note 8, lets you replace the faulty module when the image is blurry, black, frozen or missing.
Before fitting, switch off the phone and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with suitable tools and an earth strap to limit electrostatic discharge. Handle the ribbon cable carefully, without bending it or forcing its connectors.
After reassembly, check the focus, brightness and operation of the front camera in the camera app, then test video calls. If the battery was disconnected or the phone was opened, let it warm up slightly without overdoing it and monitor its behaviour for a few hours.
