Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the Galaxy S10, lets you replace a damaged module, for example if it no longer switches on, shows a blurred, black or distorted image, or if the front camera no longer opens in apps.
Before fitting, switch off the phone and disconnect the battery if your model allows it, or at the very least cut the power supply. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static wrist strap or by regularly touching an earthed metal surface to avoid electrostatic discharge. Use a suitable opening tool so you do not force the fine connectors and ribbon cables. Handle the ribbon cable with care and do not bend it.
Once the part is installed, switch the phone back on and test the camera before fully closing the device. Check sharpness, brightness and the operation of photo and video modes. If the battery was disconnected, reconnect it carefully. If the battery is swollen, stop using the phone.
