Description
The front camera is the small module at the top of the screen that lets you take selfies and make video calls. This part compatible with the Galaxy S3 replaces the faulty module in your phone. It helps you get a sharp image back when the screen shows blur, black areas, abnormal colours or nothing at all from the front camera.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, as static electricity can damage components. Use suitable tools and avoid forcing the ribbon cables, which are fragile. Keep heat moderate when dismantling, for example with a hair dryer set to a low temperature, and never puncture or bend a lithium battery.
Once the fitting is complete, check that everything works before closing the casing fully. Test the front camera in the camera app, then start a video call to check the image and sound. If the battery was disconnected or the phone shows an anomaly, charge it fully and then carry out a few complete charge cycles to stabilise everything.
