Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the Galaxy S4, lets you replace a damaged module, for example when the image is blurred, black or distorted, or when the camera no longer appears in apps.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and use suitable tools to open the casing without forcing it. Handle the ribbon cable and the module carefully so you do not bend or tear them.
Once the fitting is complete, reconnect the battery and check the camera in the camera app and during a video call. If the image remains abnormal, check that the ribbon cable is properly clipped in. For any lithium battery in the device, do not puncture or bend it, and stop using the phone if the battery is swollen.
