Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front-facing camera module of a Samsung Galaxy S5 Active. It is used for selfies, video calls and video conferences. When the camera is faulty, the image may be blurry, black or frozen, or the camera app may no longer open.
Before you begin, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, to avoid electrostatic discharge. Do not force the ribbon cables and disconnect them carefully, using a plastic tool rather than a metal one.
Once the fitting is complete, check that the camera is detected, test both photo and video modes, then check the sharpness and brightness of the image. If the module is not recognised, recheck the ribbon cable connection before closing the phone.
