Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the Galaxy S6, lets you replace a faulty module: blurred, black or distorted image, no image during a video call, or a camera app that no longer detects the front camera.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface with a suitable opening tool, and avoid touching the connectors with your fingers. Discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal object before handling the parts.
After fitting, check the operation in the camera app, then during a test video call. Also check that the screen stays firmly attached and that the ribbon cable does not form a fold. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and never puncture it.
