Before starting, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery where the relevant ribbon cable requires it. Work on a clean surface and use suitable tools, without forcing the connectors or fixing clips.
After fitting, check that the image displays correctly, that the proximity sensor works and that the focus is sharp before closing the device. Avoid electrostatic discharge by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the components.
