Description
The front camera is the photo module located on the front of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This compatible part for the GT Neo 2 replaces the existing module when it is broken, blurry, black or no longer responds to video calls. The most common faults are a blurred or distorted image, a black area in the photo, or a camera that no longer activates in apps.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean, clear surface with a suitable opening tool and an anti-static mat. Avoid touching the ribbon contacts unnecessarily and never force the connectors. For the battery, never try to puncture or bend it, and do not use a phone whose battery is swollen.
After fitting, check the camera works before fully closing the device: test the photo, video and video call. If you notice a focus or brightness problem, recheck the connectors before drawing any conclusion.
Tips
- Switch off the device and disconnect the battery before any work
- Use an anti-static mat and avoid touching the contacts
- Never force the ribbon cable connectors
- Test photo, video and calls before closing the device
- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery
