This front camera is a compatible spare part for the Honor 8a (2019). It replaces the front photo module, the one used for selfies and video calls. When it is faulty, you will often notice a blurry, black, frozen or missing image when using the front camera.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface and use suitable tools to open the device without forcing it. Handle the ribbon cable with care and avoid static electricity discharge, for example by touching an earthed metal object before touching the components.
Once the fitting is complete, check the operation before closing the casing fully. Test the front and rear cameras, focus, brightness and video calls. If the phone has a swollen or damaged battery, do not use it and do not puncture or bend it.
