Description
The front camera, also known as the selfie camera, is the module that captures your selfies and video calls. This compatible part is designed to replace the front camera of the Honor Magic 8 Pro when it no longer works properly. It can help fix a blurred, black or missing image, as well as faults where the camera no longer opens in apps.
Before you start, switch your phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model's procedure requires it. Work on a clean, flat surface, ideally with an anti-static mat, as static electricity can damage electronic components. Handle the ribbon cables carefully, without bending or pulling them, and note the exact position of each connector before removing it.
Once the part is fitted, switch the device back on and open the camera app to check that the front camera launches, the image is sharp and the sensor responds. Test video calls too. If the battery was handled during the repair, let it charge normally and avoid fast charging for a few cycles. If in doubt, stop and check the connections before continuing.
