Description
This front camera is a compatible part designed for the Honor Play (2018). It replaces the front photo module, the one used for selfies and video calls. When the front camera is faulty, the image may be blurry, black, frozen, or the device no longer detects it at all in photo and video conferencing apps.
Before starting the replacement, switch off the smartphone completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean, flat surface with suitable tools so you do not damage the fixing clips. Handle the module by its edges, without touching the lens, and avoid static electricity by staying in contact with an earthed metal surface. Also check that the ribbon cable is properly reconnected before closing the chassis.
After fitting, switch the device back on and test the front or rear camera, the focus and the flash if needed. If the battery was disconnected, let it charge normally and carry out a few full charge cycles for stable use. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery, and stop using a device whose battery is swollen.
