Description
This front camera is a compatible spare part for the Honor X7a (2023) smartphone. It replaces the front-facing camera module when it is damaged: blurred, black or distorted image, or the camera not being detected in apps. It is mainly used for video calls, selfies and facial recognition authentication when these features are enabled on the device.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery where the design allows. Work on a clean, flat surface, with a plastic tool to open the casing without scratching the chassis. Avoid static electricity by regularly touching an earthed metal surface, and handle the ribbon cable carefully so that it is neither bent nor torn.
After fitting, check that the camera is recognised and that the image displays correctly before closing the device. If the battery was disconnected, reconnect it and then carry out a few full charging cycles to stabilise operation. Do not puncture, bend or ever use a swollen or damaged battery.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before any intervention
- Disconnect the ribbon cable with a plastic tool, without forcing it
- Avoid static electricity by working on an earthed surface
- Check that the camera is recognised before closing the casing
- Never use a swollen or damaged battery
Fitting
Fitting guide: work with the device switched off, disconnect the battery before touching any flex cable, keep the screws in order and test the part before closing up. A question before ordering? Write to us.
