Description
The front camera is the small camera module located near the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the Honor X8a (2023), lets you replace a faulty front camera, for example if the image is blurry, black or distorted, or if the module no longer appears in the camera app.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean, flat surface with suitable tools, and avoid static electricity by discharging yourself regularly by touching an earthed metal object. Take the time to identify the ribbon cables and screws carefully, and photograph each step to make reassembly easier.
After fitting, switch the device back on and check the camera before fully closing the casing: test photo and video, sharpness, brightness and recognition of the module in the settings. If the original part was damaged by a fall, an impact or exposure to heat, also check the condition of the neighbouring ribbon cables.
