Description
The front camera is the small camera module above the screen of the iPad 2 (2011), used for video calls and selfies. This compatible part replaces a faulty or damaged module. It restores the picture when the camera no longer switches on, shows a black or blurred image, or stops working in apps.
Before you start, switch off the iPad and disconnect the battery if you open the device, to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat or by regularly touching an earthed metal surface to limit static electricity. A lithium battery must never be punctured or bent; if it is swollen, stop using it.
After fitting, switch the device back on and test the camera before fully closing it. Check the image, sharpness and operation in a photo or video app. If the device overheats abnormally, stop immediately.
