Description
This compatible front camera replaces the camera module on the front of the iPad 5 (2017). It is used for video calls, selfies and video conferencing. If the front camera is blurry, black, no longer activates or shows an error message, this component is often the cause.
This is a compatible part, manufactured by a third party. Before starting, switch off the iPad completely, then disconnect the battery before touching any ribbon cables. Work on a clean, flat surface with suitable tools, and avoid applying force to the fragile connectors. A swollen battery must never be used: do not puncture it or bend it.
After fitting, reconnect the battery and check that the front camera works in the Camera app and during a video call. Also check that the ribbon cable is securely seated and the housing is closed properly before putting the device back into service.
