Description
The front camera is the small module that captures the image during video calls, selfies and use of the camera facing the screen. On the iPad 7 (2019), it should be replaced when the image is blurry, black, distorted or absent, or when the camera no longer appears in apps. This compatible part, made by a third party, is intended to replace the current defective part.
Before you start, switch the tablet off completely and disconnect the battery if your skill level allows, to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean, flat surface, with suitable tools and a small container to store the screws. Handle the module by its edges to limit static discharge, and avoid excessive heat when lifting the screen.
Once fitting is complete, check that the camera is properly recognised in apps, test the image in both directions and check that the brightness sensor and microphone still work. If something is wrong, reconnect the connectors before concluding that the part is faulty.

- A swollen battery must no longer be used
