Description
This compatible front camera replaces the camera module at the top of the screen of the iPad 9 (2021). It is used for video calls, selfies and video conferences. If the front camera no longer turns on, shows a blurred or black image, or the Camera app no longer detects it, this component is the cause in most cases.
Before you begin, switch off the iPad completely and work on a clean, flat surface. Use a plastic tool to open the chassis and disconnect the battery before touching any ribbon cables. A lithium battery must never be punctured or bent. If it is swollen, stop using it and do not attempt to dismantle it. Avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the components.
After fitting, reconnect the battery, switch on the device and test the camera before closing the chassis. Check the image, the sound during a call and the focus. If everything works, secure the screws and the screen carefully.
