Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front camera module of your iPad Air 2 (2014). It is used for video calls, selfies and video conferences made from the tablet. When the image is blurry, black, frozen or missing from the camera app, the current part is often the cause, and this replacement can restore normal operation.
Before you start, switch the tablet off completely and disconnect the battery to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and avoid touching the components unnecessarily. The ribbon cables are fragile: lift the connectors gently, without forcing them, and do not bend the cables. Have suitable tools to hand, such as a small screwdriver and a suction cup.
Once the fitting is complete, switch the device back on and test the camera before closing the tablet. Check the image in the camera app and during a video call. If the battery was disconnected, let it recharge gradually, then carry out a few full charge cycles to stabilise the device.
