Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front-facing camera module of the iPad Mini 4 released in 2015. It is used for video conferencing, selfies and video calls. When the front camera no longer switches on, is blurry, or is no longer detected by the iPad, this module is usually the cause. It can also fix a distorted image or a camera that cuts out at random.
Before you begin, switch off the tablet completely and disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables, as lithium and fragile connectors call for care. Work on a clean, static-free surface, using an anti-static wrist strap if possible. Never force the connectors and avoid excessive heat during disassembly.
Once the replacement is done, switch the device back on, check the image in the camera app, then run a test video call. If the battery was disconnected, a few full charge cycles help the system regain stable operation. If the battery is swollen, stop using the device.
