Description
The front camera, also called the selfie camera, is the small module at the top of the screen used for selfies, video calls and face recognition. This part, compatible with iPhone 11 (references A2221, A2111 and A2223), lets you replace a damaged module, for example when the image is blurry, black, frozen or distorted, or when the camera no longer activates in apps.
Before any work, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and avoid touching the gold contacts unnecessarily. Tools should suit small screws, and fragile cables must be lifted carefully, without forcing them.
After fitting, check that the camera works in the camera app and in a video call app, and confirm that face detection and screen brightness remain normal. If your iPhone's battery is swollen, stop using the device and do not try to open it.
