Description

The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the iPhone 12 screen. It is used for selfies, video calls and face authentication. This compatible part is intended for iPhone 12 models referenced A2403, A2172, A2402 and A2404. It lets you replace a damaged front camera, for example blurry images, missing pixels, a camera that no longer opens or a cracked sensor.

Before fitting, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and avoid touching the gold contacts with your fingers. If you need to lift the screen, warm it gently, never above lukewarm. The ribbon cables are fragile: do not bend them and do not force the connectors.

After the replacement, switch the device back on and test the camera before closing it up. Check autofocus, sharpness and the Face ID function. If the battery is swollen, do not use it and do not puncture or bend it.
