Description
The front camera is the photo and video module located on the front of the iPhone 12. It is used for selfies, video calls and video conferencing. This original part from the manufacturer, or official "Service Pack" part, allows you to replace a damaged module to regain a sharp image and correct focus. It addresses in particular faults such as blurred, black, distorted or missing images during video calls and when taking front-facing photos.
Before starting, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery before handling any ribbon cables. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and avoid applying pressure to the screen. Keep the small screws in a dedicated compartment so they are not lost during disassembly.
After fitting, check the camera works before closing the device completely: test photos, videos and video calls, as well as face detection for Face ID. If the battery was disconnected, switch the iPhone back on and watch that no abnormal heat is produced. Never use a swollen battery, and never puncture or bend it.
