This front camera replaces the front camera module of your iPhone 12 Pro Max, used for selfies, video calls and face recognition when the screen is on. It is a compatible part, made by a third party, offered as the most affordable solution for repairing this model. It concerns references A2411, A2342, A2410 and A2412.
If your front camera no longer works, shows a blurred, black or distorted image, or face recognition no longer responds, this component is often the cause. Before any work, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables. Work on a clean surface at room temperature and use an anti-static tool to avoid electrostatically discharging the components.
After fitting, switch the device back on and check the front camera, the flash and the screen brightness, as well as face recognition in the settings. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery, and stop using the device if the battery is swollen.
