Description
The front camera, also called the selfie camera, is used for video calls, front-facing photos and the device's facial recognition. This part is compatible with the iPhone 14 Pro Max, referenced for models A2894 and A2651, and lets you replace a damaged or faulty module.
The most common faults are a blurred or black image during video calls, distorted selfies, or a camera that no longer opens. A visible crack in the glass, traces of moisture or a recent knock can also be the cause. Before you start, switch the phone off completely, prepare a suitable screwdriver and a tray to keep the screws organised.
Always disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and avoid contact with electronic components to limit the risk of static discharge. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery, and do not use the device if it appears swollen. After reassembly, check the front camera, the microphone and facial recognition.
