Description
The front camera is the photo module located at the top of the iPhone 16 screen, near the earpiece. It is used for video calls, selfies and facial recognition. When it stops working, the image may be blurred, black or frozen, or the front camera no longer responds in apps. This compatible part lets you replace a faulty module so you can use the front camera normally again.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and prepare a clean, well-lit workspace with suitable tools and small containers to store the screws. Disconnect the battery before touching any ribbon cables to avoid a short circuit. Work at room temperature, without excessive heat, and protect yourself from static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling components. Never use a swollen, punctured or bent battery.
After fitting, check the front camera in the camera app, during a video call and across all functions linked to the sensor, such as facial recognition. Also check the sharpness of the image and look for spots or streaks. If a problem persists, stop using the phone and check the fitting again before any further work.
