Description
The front camera is the photo and video module located on the front of the iPhone 18 Pro Max. It is used for selfies, video calls and facial recognition. When it stops working, the screen may show a blurred or black image, or nothing at all, and video apps no longer recognise the device.
This part is an original manufacturer component, or an official Service Pack part. Its appearance and behaviour are identical to those of a new module. Before you start, switch the device off completely, prepare a clean, well-lit workspace, and keep the screws in a small container. Work with a suitable screwdriver and use a suction cup or a plastic tool to release the components.
Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and protect yourself from static electricity by avoiding synthetic mats. Do not bend the cables and never puncture the lithium battery. If it is swollen, stop using the device. After assembly, check the front camera before closing everything up completely, then test it in the camera app and during a video call.
