Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the iPhone Air's screen. It is used for selfies, video calls and face recognition when combined with its sensor system. This compatible part lets you replace the current part when it shows faults: blurred or hazy image, dark areas, abnormal colours, focus no longer working, or no image in photo and video apps.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it. Work on a clean, flat surface, protected from static electricity, with suitable tools to open the screen without forcing it. Handle the flex cable with care: a bend or tear can make the phone unusable. Do not heat the battery, and do not puncture or bend it.
After fitting, switch the device back on and check the camera before closing it up for good. Test photo, video, focus and brightness, as well as face recognition. If a battery was disconnected, let the device run a few normal charging cycles to regain stable operation.
