Description
The front camera is the module that captures your image for selfies, video calls and unlocking the phone. On the iPhone X, it sits at the top of the screen, near the earpiece speaker. This compatible part replaces the module when it no longer works: black, blurred or distorted image, or the camera is missing from the camera app.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery before touching any ribbon cables. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and use suitable tools so you do not scratch the screen. Never force a connector and keep the small screws in a separate container.
Once the fitting is complete, switch the device back on and check the camera in the camera app, video calls and face recognition. Also check that the proximity sensor and the speaker work correctly. If a swollen battery appears during the repair, do not use it and do not puncture or bend it.
