Description
The front camera, also called the selfie camera, is the module that captures your image during video calls, selfies and facial recognition. On the iPhone XR, it sits in the notch at the top of the screen. This compatible part lets you replace the module when it is damaged, blurred, clouded or no longer working.
The most common faults are a blurry or dark image, spots on photos, a camera that no longer appears in apps, or an error message when using Face ID. Before you start, switch off the device, work on a clean surface and use an anti-static mat. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables and avoid excessive heat. Never try to puncture, bend or force the lithium battery, and do not use a device whose battery is swollen.
After fitting, check the camera before fully closing the device: photo, video and Face ID. If Face ID does not respond, check that the ribbon cable is properly clicked into place. Take your time and keep the small screws in a precise order.
