Description
The front camera, also called the selfie camera, is the small module at the top of the iPhone XS screen. It is used for video calls, selfies and face recognition. This compatible part is made by a third-party manufacturer and replaces the current front camera when it is damaged, blurry or no longer responds.
Before dismantling, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery when the guide requires it, to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean surface, with an antistatic mat if possible, and keep the small screws in a tray so they do not get lost. Handle the module by its edges, without touching the lens or the flexible contacts, and avoid excessive heat during handling.
Once assembly is complete, check that the image appears correctly in the Camera app, that focus works and that the proximity sensor stays active during a call. If the phone shows an error message, reconnect the battery and restart it before concluding.
