Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front-facing camera of the iPod Touch 6, used for selfies, video calls and some capture apps. When the image is blurry, dark, frozen or missing, the current part is often the cause, and this replacement restores proper video function.
Fitting requires patience and precision. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and use suitable tools so you do not scratch the screen. Before any work, switch the device off and disconnect the battery when the procedure requires it, especially before handling the ribbon cables. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery; if it is swollen, do not try to run it.
After fitting, test the camera before fully closing the device: photo, video and call. If the device has been switched off for a long time, let it charge normally and avoid excessive heat during the first uses.
Tips
- Switch the device off and work on a clean, flat surface
- Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables
- Use an anti-static mat to protect the components
- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery
- Test the camera before fully closing the device
