Description
The front camera, also called the selfie camera, is the small module at the top of the screen used for selfies, video calls and facial recognition. This part, compatible with the Samsung J6 (J600 / 2018), replaces the current front camera when it is blurred, black, frozen or no longer activates. It is made by a third-party manufacturer and is an economical solution for repairing your device yourself.
Before you start, switch the smartphone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean, flat surface with suitable tools, and avoid any contact with electronic components. Discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface. Remove the ribbon cables carefully, without forcing them, and never bend the connectors.
Once reassembly is complete, switch the device back on and test the front camera and autofocus, as well as face detection if it is used. Also check that the screen closes correctly and that the proximity sensor works. If your device's battery is worn or swollen, do not use it and have it replaced separately, following lithium safety instructions.
