Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This compatible part replaces the front camera of the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro (J730, released in 2017). It is useful when the image is blurry, black, frozen or missing, or when the module no longer appears in the camera app.
Before you begin, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and avoid touching the gold contacts. Use plastic tools to open the screen without forcing or bending the ribbon cable. If the battery is swollen, do not use it under any circumstances and do not try to puncture or bend it.
Once assembly is complete, switch the device back on and test the camera before closing the phone for good. Check the sharpness of the image, the brightness and how it works in several apps. If the result is not satisfactory, check the ribbon cable connection before drawing any conclusion.
