Description
The front camera is the small module used for selfies and video calls. This compatible part is designed for the K30 (2018). It helps resolve faults where the image is black, blurred, frozen or missing in the camera app or in front-facing video calls.
Before you start, switch the device off and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it. Work on a clean surface, ideally with an anti-static mat, to reduce the risk of static electricity. Do not force the ribbon cable, do not bend it and do not heat the adhesives more than necessary.
After fitting, check the camera in the camera app and on a video call, in daylight as well as in low light. Make sure the proximity sensor and the earpiece are not obstructed by the cover. If the battery is swollen, stop using the device and do not puncture or bend the battery.
Tips
- Switch off the device and disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cable
- Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible
- Do not bend the ribbon cable or force the connectors
- Test the camera before fully closing the phone
- A swollen battery must no longer be used
