Description
The front camera is the small module that lets you take selfies and make video calls. It is usually located at the top of the screen, on the front side. This part, compatible with the K8x (2020), replaces the current camera when the image is blurred, black, frozen or missing in the camera app or during video conferencing.
Before starting, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with a suitable screwdriver and a plastic spudger to lift the connectors gently. Avoid static electricity by regularly touching an earthed metal surface, and handle the ribbon cable by its edges so you do not damage the contacts.
Once the fitting is complete, switch the device back on and test the camera before closing the casing. Check sharpness, brightness and operation in several apps. If a problem persists, recheck the ribbon cable connection before concluding that the part is faulty.
