Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front camera module of the M22 (M235 / 2021). It is used for selfies, video calls and face recognition where these features are provided on your device. It allows you to repair a front camera that no longer works, shows a blurred, black or distorted image, or no longer triggers in the camera app.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and use suitable tools so that the screen is not scratched. Never puncture, bend or force the lithium battery. If it is swollen, do not try to use it.
After fitting, switch the device back on and open the camera app in front-facing mode. Check sharpness, brightness and the correct operation of the features that use the camera. If the image remains abnormal, check that the ribbon cable is properly clipped in and that the connectors are clean and securely seated.
Tips
- Switch off the device and disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cable
- Use an anti-static mat to protect the components
- Never force the fine connectors of the ribbon cable
- Check the camera in the camera app after fitting
- Do not puncture or bend the lithium battery; swollen battery: do not use
