Description
This compatible front camera replaces the selfie module of the Huawei Mate 7 (2014). It is used to take photos and videos facing you, for video calls and video conferences. When the front camera no longer switches on, its image is blurry, dark or distorted, or it no longer appears in apps, the module is often to blame. Replacing this part restores a sharp image and normal use of the front of the device.
Before you start, switch the smartphone off completely and remove the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with suitable tools, and take the time to identify each connector properly. Handle the flexible cable (ribbon cable) with care, holding it by its bracket and without bending it. Avoid static electricity by discharging yourself on an earthed metal object before touching the components.
Once assembly is complete, switch the device back on and test the camera before fully closing the casing. Open the camera app, switch to selfie mode and check sharpness, brightness and the absence of noise or lines. Also check the microphone and the screen near the module, then close up, making sure nothing gets pinched.
