Description
This compatible front camera replaces the camera module on the front of your Mega 2 (2014). It is used for selfies, video calls and facial recognition when your device is equipped with it. It is usually behind faults such as a blurred or black image, abnormal colours, a camera that won't launch, or a faulty focus.
Before you start, switch the device off completely, remove the battery if possible and work on a clean surface with suitable tools. To limit the risk of static electricity, touch an earthed metal surface regularly. Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables and never force the connectors. If you notice a swollen battery, stop using it.
After fitting, check that the camera works in the camera app and during a video call, and make sure the screen edges are firmly attached. If the camera does not respond, first check the ribbon cable connection before concluding that the part is faulty.
