Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for video calls, selfies and face recognition. When it is damaged, the image may be blurred, black, distorted or missing, and the device may no longer detect it in apps.
This compatible front camera is designed for the Xiaomi Mi 11X. It is a third-party part, offered as a budget alternative to the original part. It lets you replace the faulty module without changing the motherboard or other components. Before you start, switch off the device, disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it, and work on a clean surface, protecting yourself against static electricity.
After fitting, check the operation in the camera app and during a video call, before fully closing the phone. Handle the ribbon cables with care, without bending them or forcing the connectors. If the battery is swollen, stop using it.
Tips
- Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables
- Protect yourself from static electricity during fitting
- Never force the ribbon cable connectors
- Test the camera before closing the phone
- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery
Fitting
